Happy Wednesday! After signing into the hotel we had a quick lunch, visited the historical display and then we walked down to the grave of a voodoo queen.
We headed back for the first meeting that started off with the convention singers and "Zeta got a feeling" The general manager of the hotel welcomed us and told us about the city. Introductions were performed through a Zeta Style Mardi Gras parade. This convention has an amazing 898 sisters in attendance. And if you want to read the national convention blog it is at http://zetadatazta.blogsport.com . During the Opening session they announced Major Donor Recognition and I'm happy to say that Jersey Shore is a Major Donor.
After the opening session we were given free time to visit our vendors and get ready for dinner. Dinner started with a Mardi Gras display by the Krewe of Caesar. Their amazing headdresses weigh up to 75 pounds. We were served chicken and rice for dinner with King Cake for dessert. Our dinner theme was "Laissez le bon Temps Rouler"
