Ready to experience the sisterhood!?!? This blog is in place so that the Jersey Shore sisters can live the experience of convention from the comfort of their homes. I will be writing nightly so please remember to check back and see what's going on (any really BIG news will also be posted on facebook).
Now so you can get the full experience I'm starting the blog today, just a few days before I leave. If you were going to convention you would just be starting to pack butI'm an organizer so I started packing about 2 weeks ago. Just to give you an idea of what packing for convention is like I'll give you a rundown. Each day we are there we have anywhere from two to four outfits. We need business casual for our morning meetings, afternoon wear for any free time, dresses for our dinners and whites. In addition to all that I'm are going early so I need outfits for those first 2 days of sightseeing. I have also been told that the Silver awards dinner is a Mardi Gras Ball so there were masks to find. And of course you can't forget the shoes :) Luckily Zeta gives you a bag at check in to carry all your papers with you so I don't bring any handbags-- except the one I use as a second carry on.
I've also checked out NoLa's tourism website so I have a list of places to hit when i get to the city and a small gift for the lovely gamma beta sister who is hosting myself and Donna for those few days before we move to the hotel.
With just a few things left to get (some snacks and a book for the airport) I feel ready to conquer NoLa. This is, of course, is thanks to the DP and PPs of our area. They have been great about sharing information and keeping us up to date.
Next time you'll hear from me is on Sunday night after my first afternoon and evening in New Orleans!
