First round ($50 pot) of game one was regular bingo – few minute later someone behind us yells bingo, second round ($150 pot) - same results. No wins for us in the first game. Chris joined us for the second game. We gear up for the second game still hopefully that a successful night was in hand; first round - same results. Second round was going to be different, we were sure of it. Lynda the everlasting pessimist was sure she was going to lose. All of a sudden all she needed was N33; yeah like that was going to happen. All of the sudden there on the closed circuit television - N33, could barely believe her eyes. Patiently waiting (like a child on Christmas morning), she waited for the caller to officially called it out. Still Lynda, being Lynda, was sure 20 other people would also call bingo – there was no way she would get the full pot – she isn’t that lucky. Much to her surprise, she was the only winner and received the entire pot. I hear Lynda still does not believe it is true and keeps checking her pockets. Games continued as Chris tried to sell Lynda on a Roller Derby ticket (Anyone wants to go November 27th to cheer Chris on in her last meet of the season – lots of fun to be had).
Zeta Spirits and hopes of more wins continued for the rest of the night. Somewhere in the night, Heather started to talk to her bingo cards. Lynda started getting high on the marker and the rest continue rooting for those winning numbers. With each passing round of bingo, we heard bingo out of other people mouths. The night was 1/5 successful for us, but 100% fun, which is all that matters.
We ending the night discussing our December events exciting awaiting our annual Cookie Exchange at Julie’s on December 7th at 7pm. Be there and be part of the fun.
